Kia is sharing details about the 2023 Sorento lineup -- which adds more standard features and driver assistance tech for the new model year.
New Standard Features
The base trim, the LX, adds standard Blind Spot Collision-Avoidance (BCA), Rear Cross Traffic Collision Avoidance and Safe Exit Assist.

All other trims gain convenience features that were previously optional:
- S adds wireless smartphone charger
- EX adds an 8-way power front passenger seat and frameless rear-view mirror
- SX adds a 12.3-inch color digital instrument panel, power-folding exterior mirrors and rain-sensing windshield wipers.
- SX Prestige now comes with standard AWD, which includes gloss back exterior accents and revised bumpers as part of the treatment. Other added features include a 115-volt power inverter that can charge household items such as a laptop, Homelink, and retractable rear door shades.
- X-Line continues to add a rugged look to the Sorento with unique bumper and exterior details, 20-inch alloy wheels and bridge-type roof rack.

Powertrain and Fuel Economy
The lineup offers two engine choices, a 2.5-liter which delivers 191-horsepower and 181 pound-feet of torque. A 2.5 Turbo boosts power to 281 hp and 311 pound-feet of torque. Both are mated to an 8-speed transmission.

Kia Drive Wise Features
Lane Following Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Driver Attention Warning, Blind Spot Collision Avoidance, Rear Cross Traffic Collision Avoidance Assist, Safe Exit Assist and Rear Occupant Alert are standard on all trims.
