Exterior
The 2023 Kia Telluride arrives with some styling tweaks that Kia says give it a more rugged, yet refined look. They include a revised vertical headlamp design (standard LED) and available fog lamps, new front and rear bumpers, a new grille, new tail light design and new wheel designs for every trim.
It also comes in three new exterior colors:
- Midnight Lake Blue
- Dawning Red
- Jungle Wood Green
New X-Line, X-Pro Trims
Kia says both the new X-Line and X-Pro are designed to appeal to drivers who enjoy going off the beaten path. The new models add more capability with a higher ground clearance, Continental All-Terrain Tires, raised roof rails, and newly added Downhill Brake Control. The X-Pro also has an increased towing limit from 5,000 pounds to 5,500 pounds with tow equipment.
The Telluride's powertrain remains the same -- with all models sharing a 3.8-Liter V6 GDI engine that produces 291-horsepower and 262 lb.-ft of torque. It's mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.
Upgraded Interior and Tech
The Telluride's refreshed interior features a redesigned steering wheel and new interior color packages. Kia says it also receives a redesigned and more technologically advanced dash and center console, as well as available, dual 12.3-inch panoramic display screens including standard navigation.
Upgraded convenience technology includes a newly standard WiFi Hotspot and an optional Digital Key 2 Touch with Apple iPhone, Apple Watch, and Samsung Galaxy smartphone compatibility. The Telluride also offers additional, available advanced driver assistance features, such as Highway Drive Assist 2 with lane change assist technology. There is also a larger available multi-color head-up display
Availability
The new Telluride is being assembled at Kia's Georgia manufacturing facility alongside select trims of the K5, Sportage, and Sorento. It is expected to arrive in CarPro dealers his month.
