Final range estimates are in for Hyundai's newest electric vehicle, the 2023 IONIQ 6 sedan. The range stems from 270 miles to 361 miles on a charge, depending on the trim, drivetrain and battery size.
Hyundai says final EPA testing is complete with the IONIQ 6 SE Long Range RWD trim receiving an EPA-estimated range of 361 miles. Range drops 45 miles for the IONIQ 6 SE AWD which achieved an EPA-estimated range of 316 miles.
When it comes to the miles per gallon of gasoline-equivalent, or MPGe, EPA testing confirmed a 140 combined MPGe rating for the IONIQ 6 SE RWD Long Range. Hyundai says that matches two Lucid Air models that make FuelEconomy.gov's list of top fuel efficient cars for 2023.

"Continually improving the efficiency of our vehicles is always a top priority for our development teams," said Olabisi Boyle, vice president, product planning and mobility strategy, Hyundai Motor North America. "Instead of just adding a larger battery to increase the range, we chose to optimize IONIQ 6's aerodynamic performance and its Electric-Global Modular Platform for efficiency to produce these long driving ranges."
The Hyundai IONIQ 6 is the second Hyundai model to ride on Hyundai’s exclusive Electric-Global Modular Platform that allows for dual motors, more interior space, and optimized performance.
