CarPro Show host Jerry Reynolds has previously said he loves pretty much everything about the Chevrolet Traverse. (You can read his 2023 Traverse RS review here. ) Well, we can't wait for him to review the all-new model due out early next year.
The recently unveiled 2024 Traverse is all-new, with a new more powerful engine, a new off-road capable Z71 model, all-new enhanced safety and technologies and for the first-time ever, Super Cruise is available.
“Our new Traverse is designed and engineered to act and look more like an SUV,” said Scott Bell, vice president, Chevrolet. “Led by the all-new Z71, the 2024 Traverse builds on the success of its predecessor and will undoubtedly enable us to be in more customer driveways.”
The redesigned three-row 2024 Traverse takes on more truck-like looks that includes a standard true dual-exhaust system with bright chrome quad tips. All-new front and rear lighting includes standard LEDs.
“The bold exterior of the all-new Traverse helps redefine its role and capability for customers,” said Phil Zak, executive design director, Global Chevrolet. “It is as versatile as ever, but with an increased focus on capability that reflects the spirit of its owners.”
The lineup welcomes three new colors, Lakeshore Blue, Stardust and Harvest Bronze.
The 2024 Traverse comes in four trims: LS, LT, Z71 and RS. The Midnight And Sport Edition is available on the LS and LT.
The RS trim is elevated with premium features that includes walk-up lighting animation that greets owners as they approach with their enabled key. The RS is also equipped with a new panoramic dual-glass sunroof (available on the LT and Z71). Other RS features include:

All models share the an all-new 2.5L turbocharged engine that delivers a GM-estimated 315-horsepower and GM-estimated 317 pound-feet of torque. That's slightly more horsepower and a 19% increase in torque. It's paired to an 8-speed automatic trans and available all-wheel drive (including an off-road-capable twin-clutch AWD system unique to the Z71.) When properly equipped, the new Traverse cow tow up to 5,000 pounds.

In more safety new, all Traverse trims will be equipped with an updated Buckle to Drive feature, which requires both the driver and front seat passenger to be buckled up before driving, and Teen Driver via the MyChevy app.
Rear Seat Belt Reminder is also new for 2024. It alerts the driver if 2nd or 3rd row passengers have taken off their seat belt.
Available features include Super Cruise, GM's hands-free driver assistance technology, which includes trailering and automatic lane change capabilities, Enhanced Automatic Parking Assist and Driver Attention Assist.
The cabin takes on a tech-forward front that you see in other recently introduced Chevy models. Chevy describes it as an airy space with a spacious feel. The instrument panel is also lower than the previous model.
Tech is a focus and include a standard 17.7-inch-diagonal color touchscreen. It’s more than two times larger than the largest available screen in the previous model. Wireless phone charging and Wi-Fi Hotspot are also available, and six USB ports are standard.
The Traverse is connected by OnStar to provide customers with a variety of available safety, entertainment, convenience and driver experience features, including 24/7 access to live OnStar advisors, on-demand vehicle diagnostics, HD streaming, in-vehicle apps, and more.

The all-new 2024 Chevrolet Traverse will be available early 2024, with production to take place at GM’s Lansing Delta Township facility in Michigan.
