The all-new 2024 Toyota Tundra begins arriving in CarPro dealerships this month.  The first models to roll into dealer showrooms will be those equipped with the standard i-FORCE non-hybrid engine.  The i-FORCE MAX hybrid models don't arrive until the spring of 2024.

All-New 2024 Toyota Tacoma

Toyota introduced the new, redesigned Tacoma earlier this year. The lineup also includes the first-ever Toyota Tacoma Trailhunter trim which is designed for overlanding. It comes equipped with from-the-factory off-road equipment from ARB, Old Man Emu, and RIGID. (Both the Trailhunter and TRD Pro are equipped standard with the i-Force MAX hybrid powertrain, so won't arrive until next spring. )

Toyota says the all-new 2024 Tacoma, which has dominated the mid-size pickup segment for nearly two decades, aims to set a new standard for modern trucks.  Toyota says for the new generation, its engineers focused on its rich history of quality, durability and reliability – while incorporating modern tech, rugged styling and go-anywhere capability.

“Our engineers outdid themselves with this next-generation Tacoma,” said Dave Christ, Toyota group vice president and general manager. “This truck offers customers more of everything, including technology, style and capability, all with an attractive starting MSRP. This is a segment Toyota has carried for years, and we feel this next iteration of Tacoma only raises the bar.”

New Platform

The redesigned from-the-ground-up 2024 Tacoma is built on the TNGA-F global truck platform shared with Tundra, Sequoia and Land Cruiser. Toyota says it was designed and engineered specifically for the U.S. market. It's constructed from a high-strength boxed, steel-ladder frame and Toyota says it adds numerous features that off-road enthusiasts will love.

New Suspension

Toyota says one leap forward for the next-generation Tacoma is a fully redesigned coil spring multi-link rear suspension.   You can get it on most grades. Toyota says it improves the Tacoma's overall ride and handling for excellent on- or off-road manners.

Powertrains

A turbocharged i-FORCE 2.4-liter engine produces up to 278-horsepower and 317 lb.-ft. of torque. An available i-FORCE MAX hybrid produces up to 326-horsepower and 465 lb.-ft. of torque, which Toyota says is the most torque in the mid-size truck segment.

Pricing

Pricing on the all-new Tacoma lineup starts starts at $31,500. MSRP for i-FORCE MAX hybrid models will be announced closer to the on-sale date.  The i-FORCE MAX engine is available on the TRD Sport, TRD Off-Road and Limited grades and standard on the Trailhunter and TRD Pro.
