Most vehicle segments are up this year, mainly due to the loss of sales in the second quarter of 2020, due to Covid-19. However, when looking at the large luxury car segment, this one is behind last year. Perhaps it is due to microchips, perhaps it is due to the switch to SUVs.
Porsche Taycan electric saw the biggest increase, but the BMW 7-Series, and the flagship Lexus LS also saw nice increases.
Here are your segment leaders in the large luxury sedan segment through six months and how they are doing so far in 2021 versus the first six months of 2020:
