Volkswagen is sharing pricing info for the all-new, third-generation 2025 Tiguan which goes on sale this spring. The lineup will start from $29,495 - $30,995 for 4Motion all-wheel drive models.
The new Tiguan gets bolder looks and a power boost to 201 horsepower, up from 184. It also ditches its third-row. In the cabin the Tiguan gets big upgrades in terms of quality. Available features include 30-color interior ambient lighting, quilted leather, American walnut finishes, and front seats with massage and balance features.
The next generation of Volkswagen’s 10.25-inch Digital Cockpit Pro system is standard. Other new tech includes a standard 12.9-inch display, with a 15-inch available.
The third-generation Tiguan adds four new airbags—center, driver knee and dual rear side—for a total of 10, and the side curtain airbags now feature a larger deployment zone. Driver assistance features include IQ.DRIVE technology, front and rear Park Distance Control, and Light Assist.
The 2025 Tiguan is equipped with 1,500-pound trailer hitch preparation for front-wheel-drive models and 1,800-pound preparation, including electronic parking brake with Hill Hold Assist and Hill Descent Control, on AWD models.
2025 Tiguan Trims and Pricing
The entry-level Tiguan S features newly designed 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels. Other standard features include 900-lumen LED headlights, LED taillights, power-adjustable, manual-folding, heated body-color side mirrors, and silver anodized roof rails. It also has KESSY keyless entry, front and rear Park Distance Control, and remote start.
2025 cabin upgrades include a leatherette multifunction steering wheel, 6-way manual-adjustable driver and passenger seats, newly designed embossed manual cloth seats, and a framed manual-dimming rearview mirror. A new large, center console adds storage space.
The S features a seven speaker sound system, SiriusXM satellite radio, HD radio; natural voice control, Volkswagen Car-Net, four 45-watt USB-C fast chargers, Bluetooth, wireless charging, and wireless App-Connect. Standard 2-zone Climatronic Touch automatic climate control and front-row seat balance function.
The S model also features a cargo under floor storage solution with smart floor, 60/40 fixed second row seats with cargo fold down, second-row air vents, and two 12-volt outlets.
An 18-inch wheel package is also available on S models for $300.
SE
The SE trim starts from $32,995 FWD and $33,975 for 4Motion AWD. It rides on newly designed 19-inch alloy wheels, and is also equipped with remote start, power tailgate, and heated wiper park.
The SE also benefits from a new Atmospheres feature, controlled by the Driving Experience Dial, that combines synchronized ambient lighting and audio settings. Up to five preset Atmospheres are available, as well as a custom selection. Ambient lighting adds 10 choices of color throughout the vehicle. There is also white LED front footwell lighting and exit lighting in the front doors. The SE also includes a framed auto-dimming rearview mirror, perforated leatherette seating surfaces, and an 8-way power- and 2-way lumbar-adjustable driver seat.
A panoramic sunroof is also available on the SE trim for $1,200 (delayed availability).
SE R-Line Black
The Tiguan SE R-Line Black starts from $35,455 for FWD (delayed availability) and $36,955 for 4Motion AWD. It rides on newly designed 20-inch R-line black alloy wheels, and features R-Line bumpers and side sills with black accents, R-Line badges, black exterior side mirror caps, black roof rails, a black headliner, and R-Line perforated sport touch steering wheel. It comes with a standard panoramic sunroof, exterior and interior chrome, lit exterior door handles, brushed stainless steel pedals, scuff plates with the R-Line logo, a frameless auto-dimming rearview mirror, and head-up display.
An optional black roof and mirror cap package is available for $395. It's limited to Opal White, Monterey Blue, Sandstone and Avocado Green exteriors.
SEL R-Line
Finally, the top-of-the-line SEL R-line models are priced at $39,755 and include standard 4Motion AWD. It's equipped with new 20-inch R-Line silver alloy wheels, silver roof rails, R-line bumpers and side sills, LED headlights and taillights, all-weather cornering lamp with fog lamps, power fold and position memory mirrors, a lit front grille bar with lit front VW logo, red lit rear logo and rear light bar, mirror puddle lights featuring a VW logo and circle design, and an IR reflective, sound insulating windshield.
SEL R-Line models get a 15-inch central display, Harman Kardon premium 12-speaker audio system, Discover Media navigation, and 3-zone Climatronic Touch. Cabin features include genuine American walnut wood dash décor, a wrapped and double-stitched center console, and upgraded Varenna leather-covered seats with ventilation, 10-point full back massage, and quilted stitching. There is also 30-color ambient lighting and additional white LED exit lighting in the front doors and front footwell. Both driver and passenger seats are 8-way power-adjustable with 4-way lumbar, and 3-position memory. The SEL R-Line also comes standard with heated steering wheel, heated rear outboard seats, Easy Open/Close tailgate feature, and Park Assist Plus.
An optional black roof and mirror cap package is available for $395. It's limited to Opal White, Monterey Blue, Sandstone and Avocado Green exteriors.
Destination (freight charge) for all trims is $1,425.
