The Kia Seltos was the fastest-selling new vehicle for the month of October, with an average selling price of $27,284, according to the latest iSeeCars.com analysis. The report examines which new and used cars are in the highest demand, amid ongoing supply chain disruptions that are causing inventory issues nationwide.
For its latest analysis, iSeeCars.com researchers looked at 250,000 new and used cars sold in October 2021. They found that in October the average new car took 31.7 days to sell and the average used car sold in 44.7 days. That's at a slower pace than in September, where the average for new cars was 24.6 days and the average for used cars was 32.8 days.
Hyundai-Kia vehicles account for 5 vehicles on the fastest-selling new vehicle list. When it comes to used cars, the Honda Insight replaced the Tesla Model 3 as the fastest-selling used car after four months. Alternative fuel vehicles are well represented on both lists.
The Mercedes-Benz GLS is the priciest model on the top 10 new car list with an average sale price of $92,577. The Porsche 718 Cayman is the priciest on the top 10 used car list with an average price of $70,819.

In Dallas-Fort Worth, the fastest-selling vehicle in October was the Chevrolet Tahoe, selling in an average of 8.1 days. In Houston, the BMW X3 also sold in an average of 8.1 days. In Austin, the Chevrolet Trailblazer was the fastest-selling new vehicle, while in San Antonio the Nissan Rogue was most in demand. In Los Angeles, the BMW X7 took top honors selling in an average 8.7 days. In the Cleveland-Akron area, the BMW X5 was most in demand.
