Fiat Chrysler is recalling 882,000 trucks to fix separate problems with loss of steering and brake issue. 2013-2017 Ram 2500/3500The first recall involves nearly 660,000 2013-2017 Ram 2500 and 3500 Heavy Duty models. The trucks could suffer a loss of steering. The issue is that a nut could become loose, making it impossible for the driver to steer. FCA says it�s aware of reports of one injury and eight crashes possibly linked to the issue.The recall population is limited to model-year 2013-2017 Ram 3500 pickups and model-year 2014-2017 Ram 2500 pickups and 3500 chassis cabs. Customers will be advised when they may schedule service. They may also contact their dealers or call the FCA US Recall Information Center at (800) 853-1403. 2019 Ram 1500The second recall involves nearly 220,000 new 2019 Ram 1500 pickups. The issue in this case involves the adjustable brake pedal. It come could off in certain positions. If the pedal is seat to the rearmost position, it could become detached. FCA is urging drivers to stop using the feature until their vehicles are serviced.This recall is limited to certain model-year 2019 Ram 1500 pickups equipped with adjustable pedals. More than one-third of these are in dealer hands and will be remedied before delivery to customers. The 2019 Ram 1500 Classic is unaffected. The adjustable brake pedal � recommended for use only when the vehicle is stationary � enables a driver to adjust pedal position. It is activated by a switch and powered by an electric motor.
