Wow, I am getting inundated with questions about this all-new Lexus. It is always my policy not to comment on vehicles that are not out yet and vehicles we have not reviewed. I checked today, I hope to have this beauty late in February, just ahead of when they arrive at dealerships. In the meantime, here are five things I can tell you now…

Lexus recently introduced the all-new 2024 GX. The three-row SUV arrives in dealerships soon with a starting MSRP of $64,250 including destination and handling. It will be offered in six grades: Premium, Premium+, Luxury, Luxury+, and all-new for Lexus, Overtrail and Overtrail+. The gas-only variants arrive first, with a hybrid powertrain to follow.
Here are five things that Lexus is sharing about its its redesigned SUV.
Lexus' First-Ever Overtrail Model
The all-new GX lineup will offer a first for Lexus - it's first-ever Overtrail and Overtrail+ grades designed for off-roading. You'll get features including standard 33-inch All-Terrain tires with 18-inch wheels, Multi-Terrain Select (MTS) to control throttle and traction as well as Crawl Control which uses sensors to help adjust acceleration and braking on challenging terrains. Multi-Terrain Monitor shows you front, side and rear camera views to help out when off-roading. Other features of this new grade are a skid plate and integrated roof rack. The Overtrail also offers two-tone paint options.
Bold New Looks
The new GX shares the GA-F platform introduced on the current-generation LX 600. It gets bold new looks looks that Lexus says strikes a balance between rugged and refined. You find a unique spindle grille up front with triple-beam LED headlights. There are chrome accents and premium paint finishes.

Powertrain
The 2024 Lexus GX will offer two powertrain options. At launch in the United States, its standard 3.4-liter twin-turbo V6 engine delivers 349 horsepower and 479 lb.-ft. of torque. It's mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. In addition, the increased power improves towing capacity from previous models to up to 8,000 pounds for Premium, Premium+ and Overtrail grades. Full-Time 4WD is standard across the lineup. A hybrid powertrain option will be available in the U.S. at a later date.
Modern, Connected Cabin
Highlights in the modern, well-crafted cabin include a standard 14-inch multimedia touchscreen display with Lexus Interface technology. Wireless Apple CarPlay® Integration and Android Auto® compatibility are standard.
The GX can set up to seven with what Lexus calls "improved ergonomic seating". The second row offers two unique seating configurations. Each row also has its own storage spaces, and enhanced luggage capacity.
In terms of connectivity, you get six illuminated charging points (four in the Overtrail), along with a wireless charger and 120V AC-inverter.
The lineup offers some other available goodies, too, like a premium Mark Levinson® audio system, ambient lighting, and plush leather seats.
Standard Safety
The lineup comes standard with the Lexus Safety System+ 3.0, a suite of advanced active safety technologies.
Key features include the Pre-Collision System (PCS) with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist (LDA w/SA), and All-speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC).
