Ford is unveiling the new 2024 F-150 pickup - calling it the most connected and the smartest F-150 engineered to date. It's also the most hybrid focused to date - as Ford says it plans to increase hybrid pickup production for the 2024 model year. It also adds a new standard powertrain, a new available tailgate and head-up display and more.

Here are some of the notable update and changes for the 2024 F-150:
New Standard Powertrain: The lineup comes with a new more powerful standard powertrain - a 2.7-liter EcoBoost that Ford says delivers more horsepower and torque, though Ford is giving out specifics on this powertrain just yet.
Increased Production of Hybrid models: Ford plans to double the mix of hybrid trucks manufactured for the 2024 model year with a goal of making the F-150 PowerBoost one of the top-selling hybrids in America by the end of 2024.
To that end, Ford says it plans to increase hybrid F-150 production for 2024. Ford's PowerBoost engine will be available on XLT through Platinum Plus and off-road models like Tremor, Raptor and Raptor R. The hybrid powertrain offers 430 horsepower and 570 lb.-ft. of torque (the most on any F-Series vehicle outside Raptor and Raptor R) –and standard 2.4kW of Pro Power Onboard (with the option to upgrade to 7.2kW.) Ford says pricing will match the starting MSRP on the 3.5-liter EcoBoost® engine.

Pro Access Tailgate: Ford says it's created its best tailgate experience yet with the new available Pro Access Tailgate. Ford widened the step cut-out and increased bumper depth and says it's the only pickup in its class to offer a 100-degree fully opened integrated swing gate. It opens from the driver's side and has a specially designed integrated handle for easy entry and exit of the swing door opening. The tailgate also allows for 19 inches of additional reach, as compared to a conventional tailgate in the ‘down’ position. An available rear bumper step is also included in some configurations.

Redesigned Front End: The classic grille and front-end design for models like the Lariat and Platinum receives a sophisticated design updates. The STX is equipped with an all-new coast-to-coast grille with more aggressive styling.

New Display Views: New for 2024, F-150® Raptor® and F-150 series vehicles can display two views simultaneously in Tow/Haul, Off-Road, and Rock Crawl Drive Modes.
New Standard Multimedia Screen: A 12-inch LCD capacitive touchscreen with SYNC 4 is now standard across the lineup. It complements a 12-inch cluster screen that displays off-roading data and turn-by-turn navigation.
Head-Up Display: An available Head-Up Display will be offered on F-150 for the first time.
Bed Storage Box(s): A new bed storage box is located behind one or both rear wheel wells. The bed storage box is standard across the F-150 lineup and located on the right-side corner of the pickup bed. Customers without Pro Power Onboard will get an additional storage box on the left-side of the pickup bed as standard with 5.5-ft. and 6.5-ft. boxes.

New Platinum Plus Series: New for 2024, the Platinum Plus replaces the Limited as the top range most luxurious trim. It features an exclusive Smoked Truffle Interior Theme with Bronzed Copper accents.
New King Ranch Interior: Updates include a bi-metallic color scheme inside and out, now with Sinister Bronze paired with chrome. Door and trim details now feature a micro-texture reminiscent of a bullwhip — a small detail that is perfectly fitting for King Ranch.
Tremor: New for 2024, you can get the Tremor with an optional modular front bumper finished in a combination of Tarnished Dark Anodized and Carbon Black colors for aggressive front-end styling.

A light bar designed for increased visibility area is available to order, and a dealer-installed Ford Performance Winch Kit, with a WARN 12,000-pound winch, developed by Ford engineering, along with a brush guard is also available.
Raptor: 2024 F-150 Raptor has new FOX Dual Live Valve shocks which Ford says provides a more confident, controlled riding experience.

Expanded ADAS: Ford is also making in-demand features like Ford BlueCruise and a 360-degree camera available across more of the lineup.
Expanded availability of the Black Appearance Package: Ford says it's one of the most popular customers choices and will now be offered on models from STX through Lariat.
Stolen Vehicle Services: The 2024 F-150 will be the first Ford vehicle available in North America with Ford Stolen Vehicle Services – a connected service that can help find and recover a Ford owner’s stolen vehicle.

Safety includes 10 standard driver-assist features, including the latest versions of Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Keeping System and Blind Spot Information System with Cross-Traffic Alert. Safe Exit is also standard.

Availability
The new 2024 Ford F-150 will start to become available at the beginning of 2024. Ford says it's made the F-150 easier to order thanks to a simplified ordering experience with some popular features – like the extended range fuel tank and Class IV trailer hitch – now standard. Popular freestanding options like moonroof, Max Recline Seats, axle upgrades, and tow mirrors can still be ordered outside the package offering.
