Genesis is introducing the all-new 2025 GV80 lineup and it includes the luxury brand's first-ever coupe-styled SUV.

Exterior Design

The redesigned GV80 SUV and first-ever GV80 Coupe are simply gorgeous luxury vehicles. The SUV retains its original, traditional SUV shape while the new Coupe takes on a sportier look with a low, sloping roofline.

Both share a new front end with a newly designed Two-Line Crest Grille and the signature Two-Line headlamps.  Genesis says the sleek design of the Two-Line headlamps, made possible with MLA (Micro Lens Array) technology, is designed to emphasize the brand's commitment to state-of the-art tech and design excellence.   The GV80 also wears Genesis' new brand emblem.

Other new GV80 design elements include larger air intakes and a wide skid plate design on the front bumper, along with the Guilloché-patterned emblem. Along the exterior, new chrome trim extends seamlessly through the sides.  In back, designers hid the muffler tips in the bumper to give the tail end a sophisticated look.

The SUV rides on standard 20-inch wheels with 22-inch wheels optional.

Distinguishing exterior elements of the GV80 Coupe, in addition to the sloping roofline, include a unique tail end with LED surface-emitting rear combination lamps and a wide integrated auxiliary brake light on the tailgate. There is also a centrally ascending sport rear spoiler. Coupe-exclusive 20 and 22-inch wheels feature distinctive spokes.

Interior

Genesis says the new GV80 offers new convenience features for enhanced comfort and safety. Technology centers around a 27-inch-wide OLED display with an integrated multimedia screen.

Other cabin features include available two-tone-colored steering wheels, an improved pedal design, and a center console featuring authentic materials.  The new Genesis logo adorns the horn cover on the steering wheel.

A redesigned wireless charging tray makes it more convenient to charge and Genesis says it's also easier now to see your smartphone while it's charging. Other design elements include an enlarged console cup holder and a knob-type volume/tune adjustment button. The center stack features touch-based climate controls.

The GV80 Coupe's cabin has some unique to the coupe design elements including a two-tone D-cut steering wheel and available unique carbon garnish patterns. Coupe-exclusive patterns and stitching also distinguish the interior. Genesis says it also added metal accents on the brake and accelerator pedals to minimize slipping during operation and to maximize high-performance sensibility.

Powertrains

The GV80 SUV is equipped with powertrain options: a gasoline 2.5L I-4 turbo engine, which delivers 300 horsepower, and a gasoline 3.5L twin turbo engine, which produces a maximum output of 375 horsepower.

The GV80 Coupe will offer two engine choices, including the gasoline 3.5L V6 Twin Turbo with 48V electric supercharger (e-S/C), featuring a robust 409 horsepower.

Availability

Both the 2025 GV80 Coupe and SUV will be available in 2024.  Look for pricing closer to the on-sale date.
