The 116th Los Angeles Auto Show kicks off in just over a week and organizers are promising plenty of Hollywood star power at this year's show which runs November 17th-26th. Unique Hollywood attractions include car displays from Robert Downey Jr. and Kevin Hart, a new Hulu streaming series, a glimpse into the upcoming FERRARI film, and a showcase of cars from the Fast & Furious franchise.
ROBERT DOWNEY JR’S DREAM CARS
Show attendees will be able to check out actor Robert Downey Jr's DREAM CARS. They are six classic cars from his personal collection that Downey Jr. turned into eco-friendly vehicles with the help of a team of experts. This is the first time all six cars will be displayed together.
These modified cars were showcased in the Max series, Downey’s Dream Cars. Following the show, Downey announced a year-long national sweepstakes, which started June 16, in which participants can enter for a chance to win one of the six iconic cars at rdjdreamcars.com. Sweepstakes proceeds benefit Downey’s FootPrint Coalition, a nonprofit organization focused on the adoption of technologies that will advance human systems towards a cleaner environment.
DRIVE IT FORWARD WITH FAST & FURIOUS
Fast & Furious fans won't want to miss a display from the Drive it Forward Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to uniting individuals who share a deep enthusiasm for cars and a commitment to making a positive impact on the world. The nonprofit will showcase cars from the legendary franchise. Cars include:

Using legendary cars, this once-in-a-lifetime experience takes place Thursday, November 16 and Saturday, November 25 at the LA Auto Show’s private driving track.
DRIVE WITH SWIZZ BEATZ
Of course you can expect some lights, camera and action as well as at the show. Hulu’s Drive with Swizz Beatz series will also be on site filming an episode. The new Hulu show is hosted by hip-hop icon and car collector Swizz Beatz and his son Nasir Dean. The pair visit car-loving destinations where they'll visit the local car culture and share their love of automobiles. The six-part series debuts on Hulu on November 16. The duo visit Houston, Japan, Atlanta, Southern California, Saudi Arabia and New York in season one. The series is also partnering with the LA Auto Show to distribute 2000 free tickets given on behalf of the Drive with Swizz Beatz to community groups and youth organizations, further immersing them in SoCal car culture.
FERRARI (THE MOVIE)
A major movie will also be in the spotlight. In partnership with the LA Auto Show, Ferrari, the new film from acclaimed director, Michael Mann, will be front and center. Ferrari, through the film’s distributor Neon, has also invited thousands of car enthusiasts to attend, distributing free tickets to car clubs, local organizations, and community groups across LA.
Ferrari is set in the summer of 1957 and tells the story of ex-racer Enzo Ferrari, played by Adam Driver. The movie also stars Penélope Cruz, Shailene Woodley, Gabriel Leone and Patrick Dempsey. It opens in theaters Christmas Day.
MISTER CARTOON
As a pillar of the LA automotive scene and global cultural icon through his art in many formats, Mister Cartoon’s impact is told through the LA Originals documentary currently on Netflix. An essential addition to the LA Auto Show, he will be commemorating the 116th edition with a special onsite exhibition as well as a signature design for this year’s official LA Auto Show print.
“Mister Cartoon’s artistry, entrepreneurship, and deep community roots are legendary. We’re honored and thrilled to have him designing a limited-edition commemorative print for the 2023 LA Auto Show that highlights the “All Roads” theme through his gifted lens,” said Los Angeles Auto Show President Terri Toennies.
Show visitors will also get to see one of Cartoon’s most famous creations that will be on display throughout the entire show. It's a 1963 International Ice Cream Truck that's widely regarded as one of the best examples of lowrider art in the world. It's the result of a 10-year passion project that was finished in 2006. It's painted in Candy Tangerine and emblazoned with images of LA street culture.
Mister Cartoon, who also frequently tattoos the world’s biggest stars, will be on hand for the Official Commemorative Print of the 2023 LA Auto Show. Finished as a high-quality fine art piece, the signed print will be available for sale in limited numbers during the show.
