"I look forward to this every single year. You have to ask yourself WHY people had some of this stuff, especially in an Uber and HOW could you forget it? One has to assume in many cases that alcohol played a factor in it, right? Well, you be the judge. Here we go." - Car Pro Show host Jerry Reynolds
Ever left something behind in an Uber? Well, don't feel too bad because you are far from the only one. Case in point: Uber's 9th annual Uber Lost & Found Index, the ride-sharing company's yearly snapshot of the most commonly forgotten and most unique items left behind in Ubers. Uber says in the past 12 months, phones, keys, and wallets, were the most forgotten items. As usual, the list of unique items doesn't fail to entertain.
“From wayward mannequin heads to live lobsters, Uber riders have left behind some truly unforgettable items this year,” said Camiel Irving, VP of Operations and GM of Mobility US&C at Uber. “Whether essential or totally unusual, we understand how important it is to be reunited with your lost belongings. The Uber Lost & Found Index celebrates the most unique and commonly forgotten items, while reminding riders that getting support to retrieve their prized possessions is simple through the Uber app.”
