Small SUV sales continue to be one of the most popular segments in the car industry. July sales were down by about 14,000 sales in July 2022 as compared to July 2021, at least among those automakers that still report monthly sales.
As I’ve mentioned, Ford apparently found microchips somewhere and that showed in Ford Escape sales, up 138% this July. Toyota CH-R was down the most from a year ago at 83%.
Here are your sales leaders in small SUVs for July 2022 and how it compares with July 2021, from automakers that reported July sales. We’ll have a better picture of things at the end of September when all car companies report:
