October is certainly off to a busy start for Lucid Motors. This past weekend, the luxury electric vehicle maker started delivering the first Lucid Air Sapphire models to customers. The Sapphire is Lucid's new $249,000 halo all-electric "Super-Sports" sedan with 1,234 horsepower and a 0-60 time of 1.89 seconds. Lucid shared the occasion on social media following Sunday's first deliveries:

Last week also brought the launch of the new Lucid Air Pure RWD - the last model in the Air lineup. It offers a 410-mile range (when equipped with 19-inch wheels) and starts from $77,400. Lucid says the model's unique battery is its most compact battery pack to date. The automaker touts "limo-like" space for rear-seat passengers and lots of luggage space.
"The new Lucid Air Pure RWD has it all; style and technology, range and performance, space and practicality," said Peter Rawlinson, CEO and CTO of Lucid. "I'm delighted that the most accessible Air surpasses the range of any other electric car from any other brand. With a starting price of $77,400, I believe that this new addition to the Lucid Air lineup is the car so many have been waiting for."
As far as charging goes, Lucid says the Air Pure can add up to 150 miles in less than 12 minutes using DC fast charging, (once again when equipped with 19-inch wheels.)
Standard Lucid Air Pure RWD features include Apple CarPlay, a 34-inch curved Glass Cockpit display, heated front and rear seats and steering wheel, brilliant nighttime illumination from Lucid's patented Micro Lens Array LED headlights, the DreamDrive constellation of advanced driver assistance systems, and the Lucid UX digital environment, designed to grow and improve over time with regular over-the-air software updates.
The Lucid Air Pure RWD is on sale now.
