Mazda is announcing updates to its 2025 CX-50 lineup. Most notably, the crossover SUV adds a new hybrid variant. The new 2025 CX-50 hybrid is powered by Toyota's hybrid system and will deliver 38 mpg combined. Mazda says the new CX-50 Hybrid offers over 100 miles of extra driving range compared to CX-50 2.5 S models based on the same calculation methodology as fueleconomy.gov.
There are some other updates to the lineup as well. The CX-50 will receive more standard equipment for 2025. Plus all CX-50s get enhancements to Mazda i-ACTIVSENSE safety features and driver assistance technology. All-wheel drive is standard across the lineup.
