"I’ve reviewed several McLarens in the past 5 or so years, and each one has been an unbelievable experience and an honor.  I heard from them a few weeks ago asking if I would like to review the all-new 750S.  I mulled it over for less than two seconds before saying OH YES! No date as of yet, but certainly looking forward to it.  Now the news it has won a huge award from the Robb Report.  If you are not familiar, this is a really high-end magazine and website that caters to the ultra-wealthy and a lot of fun to look at. "- Car Pro Show host Jerry Reynolds.

Congrats to the McLaren 750S Spider - Robb Report’s 2025 Car of the Year!  Besting 10 competitors  - including the McLaren Artura Spider - the 740-horsepower droptop is the British marque's first model to earn the accolade. One Robb Report praised the 750S Spider for its “amazing acceleration, wicked handling, ear-crackling sound, and head-turning good looks.” Judging took place during a five day-long competition in Boca Raton, Florida.

“McLaren has been a frequent frontrunner in our annual contest, and it’s a testament to the marque’s commitment to supercar development and its embodiment of the segment that we had two of its models as contenders for this edition," said Luke Bahrenburg, President of Robb Report. "The 750S Spider eschews compromise and performs beyond expectations across all metrics, similarities it shares with our Robb Report reader.”

The Robb Report judging panel includes automotive editorial staff, as well as members of the Robb Report private club (RR1), which includes individuals who may already own McLarens, or have the means to purchase one.

“We are thrilled that Robb Report has named the 750S Spider its 2025 Car of the Year, " said Nicolas Brown, President, McLaren, Americas. "With the 750S, we have beaten our own remarkable benchmarks, and to have that recognized by a panel of judges made up of customers and prospects makes this award extremely meaningful. One of the judges noted, ‘If you’re looking for a supercar, you’re done—this is it!’ We certainly agree.”

The lightest and most powerful series-production McLaren, the rear-wheel drive 750S Spider's twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine delivers 740-horses and 590 pound-feet of torque. A 7-speed transmission features ratios optimized for acceleration.  McLaren says 30% of the 750S's components new or changed from its predecessor, the renowned McLaren 720S. The 750S also debuts PCC III, the newest generation of McLaren’s acclaimed linked-hydraulic suspension system. A new vehicle-lift system operated by a single button raises front of car in just four seconds – less than half the time of its predecessor and faster than any other McLaren.
