The all-electric 2025 Lucid Gravity could hit the road before the end of the year. Lucid says production is scheduled to start later this year. The automaker recently showcased its upcoming SUV at an event at the company's Arizona factory, where it also shared that it had already delivered more vehicles through August 31, 2024 than in all of 2023.

This week, Lucid shared its Q3 sales data. The company reports that it produced 1,805 vehicles and delivered 2,781 vehicles, of which approximately 8% were subject to operating lease accounting, in the third quarter of this year.

2025 Lucid Gravity

Lucid says it's incorporated the technologies, innovations and learnings of Lucid Air  into the upcoming Lucid Gravity, which it dubs the world's most advanced electric SUV. Think "exhilarating performance" and an "expansive, sophisticated interior" with room for up to seven adults.

At the event, Peter Rawlinson, CEO and CTO at Lucid said: "Today demonstrates how the Lucid Gravity is set to be the best SUV ever, showcasing its revolutionary package and attributes only made possible with the technologies Lucid has pioneered. Our drive unit is one of several important enabling technologies, delivering next-level performance, collectively enabling a lower cost for our powertrain system than our competitors. Simply put, our vehicles go farther with less, unlocking significant cost and mass savings as we scale."

Lucid also announced that Gravity will be equipped with a NACS charging connector in 2025, which will give drivers access to 15,000+ Superchargers.

New 'Atlas' Drive Unit  For Midsize Platform

Lucid also shined a spotlight on its next-generation drive unit, Atlas, currently in development and undergoing extensive testing. The new drive unit is destined for the company's upcoming midsize platform vehicles, including a new crossover, teased in the photo below.

Lucid says the new unit will use the efficiency and cost advantages enabled by Lucid technology to deliver the same range as competitors while using a smaller battery. The midsize platform is scheduled to start production in late 2026 with a starting price under $50,000.

Over-the-Air Updates

Lucid also says its vehicles continue to add capabilities and value to customers throughout their product lifecycle. A Lucid UX 2.4 over-the-air (OTA) update recently provided an enhanced version of the optional Dream Drive Pro Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), a new voice control system, and an updated navigation map design, among other updates.
