2023 Mid-Year Pickup Sales Race: Ford Dominates

Pickup sales are on fire, especially for the Blue Oval brand.  It is clear Ford has found the answer to the microchip issue, and they are cranking out its most profitable vehicle in big numbers.

Generally, it’s a bit of a horse race between Ford and GM, and sometimes between Ford and Ram more recently.  This year, it’s not even a race for first.  Chevy and Ram could have a run for second, but likely 2023 will end up Ford by a huge margin, followed by Chevy, then Ram.

So, here are the pickup truck sales so far in 2023, year-to-date, and how they fared  versus the first half of 2022:
