A year can make a huge difference in total auto sales. That is clear as we analyze the sales for the first half of 2023. Overall sales in the second quarter were up a whopping 21% from sales in the second quarter of 2022.
By far, winners outpaced the few losers. Pent-up demand, more fleet sales, bigger incentives, and increased overall inventories all contributed to the sales success of the first half of this year.
Ford led the way again, with Toyota and Chevrolet not too far behind.
