It's a big day for Acura and fans waiting for the new Integra Type S.  The fourth Acura Type S variant to launch in the past two years starting rolling into dealerships today.  Starting MSRP for the 2024 Acura Integra Type S is $50,800 without destination.

Acura's storied Type S badge means high performance. In the case of the Integra, we're talking a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged engine, 320-horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. Acura says that's an increase of 120 hp and 118 lb.-ft. over the model that returned the Integra nameplate to the Acura lineup roughly one year ago.

Designed for driving enthusiasts, the Integra Type S features a standard short-throw 6-speed manual transmission with an automatic rev-matching system. It also has a limited slip differential. (Fuel economy is 21 mpg city, 28 mpg highway and 24 combined.)

The Integra Type S is 2.8 inches wider than the standard Integra. It has a wider diamond Pentagon grill and a new vented aluminum hood that improves airflow by 170 percent to cool the turbo engine. It also uniquely has an innovative dual-axis front suspension design and a performance-tuned Adaptive Damper System. Acura says they provide precise control and handling with optimized damping curves to suit driving conditions.

High-performance also means Brembo front brakes and lightweight 19-inch wheels wrapped in sticky 265/30ZR19 Michelin Pilot Sport 4S high-performance summer tires.  On the tail end, you find center-mounted triple exhaust outlets with Active Exhaust Valve and large front air intakes along with a rear diffuser.

Inside, you'll find heated front sport seats, a 10.2-inch Acura Precision Cockpit Driver Information Interface and Head-Up Display.  Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, wireless phone charging and a 16-speaker ELS STUDIO 3D premium audio system are also standard.  You won't find a moonroof though. Acura says it removed it from the Type S to improve chassis rigidity and agility.

There are 7 exterior paint including the Type S exclusive Tiger Eye Pearl. The interior is available on three colors: Red, Black and Orchid.

A bunch of Genuine Acura Accessories are available, too. They include a carbon fiber rear lip spoiler, carbon fiber mirror caps, black illuminated front Acura badge, copper metallic finished 19-inch wheels and an Integra Type R-inspired titanium shift knob.
