With all brands reporting for the second quarter of this year, we have a look at the truck race for 2021. Generally it’s not a race at all…Ford has been the #1 seller of truck for 44 straight years.
However, the chip shortage has hurt Ford a lot more than Ram and Chevrolet and it shows in the second quarter truck sales numbers. Ford found itself in third place in the second quarter standings. A year ago in the second quarter, Ford led GM and Ram by over 60,000 vehicles. It is a much different picture this year.
Here are the pickup sales for the second quarter of 2021:
