Pickup sales overall continued to roll on in the first quarter of 2021. Ford, as usual, dominates with sales of the new 2021 model doing very well. No doubt F-Series sales will suffer in the second quarter due to the microchip shortage. Ram has a 22,000 unit lead over Chevrolet in the first three months of this year, which is a bit of a surprise. Chevy has been pretty conservative with its incentives so far this year, while Ram has been turning up the heat. There is a long way to go in this hotly contested race, and GM can turn the incentive spigot on at any time.
