Rain may have dampened the streets at this year's Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City, but it certainly didn't dampen the spirit of the holiday. For a 10th year in a row, Ram trucks returned as the official truck of the iconic parade. The automaker put 75 Ram trucks and vans to work to support various aspects of the event.
Twenty-seven Ram trucks - a variety of Ram 1500s, 2500s and 3500s - showed off their capability by towing massive floats, their headlights lighting the way through the rain on the parade route. The parade kicked off with Tom Turkey perched atop a Ram 5500, and culminated in a grand finale as a Ram 3500 towed the one-and-only Santa Claus down the streets of Manhattan to Macy’s Herald Square on 34th St.
“It’s an incredible honor for the Ram Truck brand to play such an integral role in one of the most cherished holiday traditions.” said Chris Feuell, Ram brand CEO – Stellantis. “Whether towing massive floats, supporting logistics or showcasing our award-winning lineup, Ram trucks exemplify strength, capability and reliability. We’re proud to help bring the magic of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade to millions of families across the nation."
In all, Ram towed 27 floats in the parade and deployed 48 vehicles to assist in behind-the-scenes work needed to produce the annual celebration. Ram ProMaster - known for its cargo capacity and low-load floor height- assisted in the parade’s logistics.
