Here at the CarPro Radio Show, we're huge fans of Subaru's ongoing efforts to help shelter pets find loving homes. So we wanted to share the recently announced results of last October's Subaru Loves Pets Month, because they're deserving of a standing ovation.

October 2022's Subaru Loves Pets Month

Last week, Subaru of America announced that in partnership with its retailers and local shelters across the country, last October's campaign helped more than 47,000 shelter pets find loving homes.  Over the course of the campaign, more than 600 Subaru retailers throughout the country hosted adoption events at their retail locations in partnership with local animal shelters. Subaru of America says since starting its pet adoption campaign in 2019, it's supported the adoption of 106,000 shelter pets.

“We know that adopting a pet into your family is a big decision, and we’re humbled by the thousands of people who chose to welcome a shelter pet into their homes via our Subaru Loves Pets adoption events,” said Alan Bethke, Senior Vice President of Marketing, Subaru of America, Inc. “We want to thank our retailers and shelter partners for their support in achieving an incredible adoption milestone and for “making the day” of thousands of dogs, cats, and other adoptable pets.”

In addition, as part of the 2022 campaign, the automaker and its retailers also donated more than $1.6 million to local shelter partners to help support animals throughout the country.

During the campaign, Subaru also celebrated its 4th annual National Make A Dog's Day, a day that encourages all dog lovers to do something special for their dog. A key message of the campaign is to encourage people to consider adopting Underdogs, the older, physically-challenged and "different" dogs that are often the last to be adopted.

Overall, Subaru says it's has impacted over 405,000 animals and donated over $44 million to national and local organizations. Click here for more info about Subaru Loves Pets.
