Mecum Auctions is sharing the results of a record-breaking Mecum Houston 2022.  The three-day auction headlined by the Triple J Ranch Auto Collection was held from March 31-April 2. Mecum says it made a record $34.5 million in overall sales, as 1,047 vehicles crossed the block with an 86% sell-through rate.

The No. 1 seller was an officially licensed Eleanor Tribute Edition 1968 Ford Mustang Fastback that brought $253,000.  A 1967 Pontiac Monkeemobile Replica wasn't far behind, bringing $242,000. The Monkeemobile and the auction’s third-highest seller, a 1959 Cadillac Ghostbusters Ecto 1 Replica that sold for $220,000, were part of the Triple J Ranch Auto Collection at No Reserve. So, too, was No. 10, a 2005 Lamborghini Mucielago Roadster, which sold for $162,250.  In total, 170 cars from the Triple J Ranch Auto collection sold for an aggregate exceeding $7.37 million.

Other top ten highlights included two offerings from Dr. Sonny Rush: a 3,480-mile 1991 Ferrari Testarossa selling for $203,500 and a 1986 Porsche 911 Turbo that brought $189,750.

A vehicle from the Texas Metal Collection also made the top 10 list: a highly modified, custom-lifted 2017 Ford F250 Super Duty Pickup Platinum Edition nabbed spot No. 8, bringing in $187,000.
