Mecum Auctions is gearing up for Dana Mecum's 37th Original Spring Classic from May 10-18th in Indianapolis. It follows Mecum Houston 2024 held in early April where sales surpassed the $29 million mark. Mecum says 1,023 vehicles crossed the block at Houston's NRG Center from April 4th-6th and 730 of those which hammered sold for a sell-through rate that exceeded 71% and an overall sales total of $29.4 million.

The top seller - a 2008 Mercedes Benz SLR McLaren Roadster. Five Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170's also made the Top 10 list.
Mecum says all five of the Dodge Demon's presented in nearly new condition boasting extremely low mileage and a stunning array of finishes from Plum Crazy and Sublime to Destroyer Gray.

A 2005 Lamborghini Murcielago Roadster was another top seller in Houston, as were a 1960 Chevrolet Corvette Custom Convertible and a 1989 Porsche 930 Turbo Slantnose.
From The Bob Cather Classics Collection, a 1983 Duesenberg II Royalton Dual Cowl Phaeton (Lot S89) that was one of just 71 built by Elite Heritage Motors from 1977 to 2011 fell just shy of landing a spot on the top sellers list with a strong $154,000 sale. Leading sales from the Plendl Brothers Bowtie Classics collection included a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle LS6 (Lot F59) that sold for $100,100 and a 1972 Chevrolet K5 Blazer Cheyenne (Lot F60) that sold for $88,000.
