Nobody wants to be on this list yearly, but recalls have become a large part of car ownership. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has put together a list of the automakers that had the most recalls in 2023, and Ford topped the list, with General Motors not far behind.
Airbags were the #1 cause of recalls, with over 238 million vehicles being recalled, most with Takata airbags. Bear in mind, I have said many times that recalls are not a predictor of future problems with a vehicle.
