Another SUV segment that is on fire this year is the small compact SUV segment. Through the first six months of 2023, small SUV sales are up over 2,000,000 sales from the same period in 2022.
The Toyota RAV4 has a strong lead for first place in spite of the microchip shortages that Toyota has struggled with. Honda CR-V is holding on to 2nd place, followed by Nissan Rogue. That is very likely the way sales rankings will be for the full year of 2023.
