I thought very hard, but could not remember the last time the Ford F-Series truck was not at the top of this list, and certainly don’t recall Ford being third on this list. Could 2021 be the year that ends Ford-Series reign as the number #1 selling vehicle in America for 44 years? Probably not, year-to-date through June Ford a 50,000-unit lead over the current #2 truck maker: Ram.
Ram outsold Ford by 10,000 vehicles in June and with six months to go, it is mathematically possible for Ram to break Ford’s streak. However, if Ford can solve the microchip issue in the second half of 2021, they can crank out some serious numbers of trucks.
