Toyota Leads November 2023 U.S. Auto Sales

Written By: Jerry Reynolds | Dec 5, 2023 3:07:02 PM

As dealer inventories continue to improve, the sales trend is upward once again.  Of all the automakers that report sales on a monthly basis, every brand was up versus November of 2022, led by Lexus that reported sales up 70% due to strong demand for SUVs.  Toyota sales were up 10%, and Hyundai and Kia continued the streak of year-over-year sales.

Incentive spending was up in November 2023 to almost $2,250 per vehicle sold, and it’s clear that amount will go higher in December.

Auto industry analysts predict sales were up in November around 10% for all the automakers combined.  Leasing was up to 22% more than November 2022, and that number will go up this month, no doubt.  After December business is closed out, we’ll get the full picture of 2023 and be able see exactly how many more vehicles were sold this year than the full year of 2022.
