Toyota Tops October 2023 U.S. Auto Sales

Written by Jerry Reynolds | Nov 7, 2023 3:35:30 PM

Looking at the automakers that report sales monthly, October was another good month for the auto industry in spite of the distractions of the UAW strike.  Of those car companies that reported sales, they report sales up over 5% from October of 2022. When the rest of the automakers report quarterly sales, I suspect that increase will be even higher.

Toyota took the lead for the month over second place Ford, not really surprised with the loss of production due to the UAW strike.  It appears, however, that Ford has been cranking out vehicles for the last week after the workers went back to the assembly line.
