Ram is introducing a new Sport Performance Truck to its lineup - the 2025 Ram 1500 RHO. The off-roading pickup differs from the rest of the lineup in a number of ways - including in its design, wider stance, and new exhaust system. As you'd expect, it also gets special badging and available graphics.
Let's get right to the performance specs: 540 horsepower and 521 lb.-ft. of torque. Those are delivered by an all-new 3.0-liter Hurricane High Output Straight-Six Turbo engine from the Stellantis Hurricane Twin-turbo family. Starting at $69,995, Ram points out the RHO offers more horsepower per dollar ($129 per HP) than any other premium off-road full-size pickup.
Other impressive power numbers: 0-60 mph in 4.6 seconds, 0-100 mph in 11.7 and it can do a quarter mile in 13.1 seconds. Its top speed: 118 mph.
Enhanced off-road capability and performance goodies include a desert off-road racers inspired long-travel suspension system with adaptive damping. Ram says it incorporates high-strength forged aluminum front upper and lower control arms with special attention to caster and camber angles during suspension cycling.
The unique-to-the-RHO exhaust system incorporates a Sport Tune low-restriction system with true dual pipes running from the front to the back of the truck.
Ram also says the 1500 RHO offers more than 40% additional rear wheel travel when compared to the rest of the Ram 1500 lineup.
Its max towing capacity is 8,380 pounds, and it has a max payload of 1,520 lbs. along with up to 32 inches of water fording. Ram says it's also the only Ram 1500 to offer two front tow hooks and one rear.
The new 2025 Ram 1500 RHO separates itself from the rest of the light-duty lineup with an aggressive stance and an hourglass body design. Composite flares are stretched over 35-inch tires and 18-inch available bead lock wheels for heightened capability straight from the factory.
Ram says the 1500 RHO is eight inches wider than anything else offered in its light-duty lineup and the composite fender flares accommodate a six-inch increase in track width. Its box outers made of steel and are wider than that of a traditional Ram 1500.
A unique R-A-M badge, front grille, hood, skid plates and steel bumpers help RHO meet heightened performance objectives. The R-A-M badge is bigger when compared to the rest of the Ram 1500 lineup and features a flow-through design that assists with airflow. A large R-A-M badge, like what is seen on Rebel, is positioned across the tailgate.
RHO customers can choose an optional full-length rock rail for added body/sill protection or traditional off-road powder-coated aluminum running boards. Optional body-side and hood graphics are available as a pair or separately.
It's also outfitted with new premium LED headlamps and taillamps, both of which offer animated lighting features.
In the cabin, a custom center console badge features a vehicle-specific VIN and an “RHO” badge on the passenger’s side instrument panel.
