Prepare for your jaw to drop - because we know ours did when we saw photos of the all-new, newly unveiled, 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe. It's a design so dramatically different, and almost Land Rover-esque, that it could be a completely new model.

It's first full model change since 2018, the new Santa Fe heads into its fifth-generation a markedly more outdoorsy vehicle as its new, boxy and rugged exterior can attest to.

Hyundai says its new design maximizes cargo capacity in the rear to better accommodate outdoor and urban activities. It's boxy looks are possible thanks to its longer wheelbase and wider tailgate area.
“The all-new Santa Fe is an SUV that finds a perfect balance between city life and the great outdoors, handling everything from busy family itineraries to car camping adventures,” said SangYup Lee, Executive Vice President and Head of Hyundai Global Design Center. “With its longer wheelbase, roomy interior and terrace-like tailgate space, the new Santa Fe leans into its SUV strengths to offer more versatility than ever before as well as a premium customer experience.”

The new Santa Fe features a high hood, H-shaped headlights and bold, sharp fenders. Its longer wheelbase allows for a bold roofline, powerful volume around the fenders, sharply defined wheel arches, shortened front overhang and 21-inch wheels. In back, the H-shaped taillights mimic the front H Lights.

Hyundai says the extended tailgate along with the SUVs fully foldable 2nd- and 3rd row seats provide best-in-class space with plenty of room for gear. Hyundai says the larger tailgate creates a terrace-like feel at the rear when open.
A refined interior incorporates sustainable materials. For instance, the suede headliner, car mats, and second- and third-row seat backs are made from recycled plastic, while the crash pad and door trim covers are made from eco-friendly leatherette.

Other available materials include soft-touch wood-patterned trim and Nappa leather seats.
Technology includes a Panoramic Curved Display that connects the 12.3-inch digital cluster to the infotainment system. Other tech includes dual wireless charging.
