Year-To-Date Large SUVs & Luxury SUV Sales

Through the first two months of 2022, large SUVs have taken a really hard hit, at least for the automakers that report sales monthly.  It is difficult to know with certainty which hurt sales the most, gas prices or the lack of microchips.

I suspect these numbers will look much better when all the automakers report at the end of this month, given the popularity of General Motors large SUVs.

Here are the numbers for the first two months of 2022:

1. Ford Expedition:              7,801              37%
2. Lincoln Navigator:          1,295              57%
3. Toyota Sequoia:                  611              71%
4. Lexus LX:                               360              60%
5. Toyota Land Cruiser:           17              98%
