When there is a shortage of new inventory combined with high demand, many of our CarPros are truly overwhelmed with their increased business volume, while also doing their best to either find the vehicle you want or help you order it.
When you shop through CarPro.com, you are moved to the top of their list. We also follow up with your certified CarPro on your behalf to ensure they get back to you as soon as they possibly can. -
At CarPro, we have learned that when we certify the highest level of the dealership as possible, (the General Manager, General Sales Manager, or even the owner) you have an outstanding car buying experience with a fair price because the entire dealership team is fully engaged with the CarPro Promise.
The certified CarPro you chose on our site receives your email, text, or phone call, and if their schedule doesn’t allow them to work with you personally, then they assign a trusted member of their CarPro team to work with you as a VIP customer. -
CarPros establish special VIP prices that they offer to their friends and family members. You will receive the same pricing that the owner of the store's neighbor or friend would get as a personal referral.
CarPro guarantees fair, transparent pricing and exceptional customer service. Remember, it’s in your CarPro’s interest to give you the very best price they can based on market conditions because they know that you will recommend your family and friends to them.
So yes, there can be a CarPro discount depending on current market conditions. However, if you’re looking to haggle with a car salesperson for a deep discount, then you probably aren’t a good fit with getting a true fair price from a trusted CarPro. -
It is truly difficult to find, interview, and vet only the best of the best automotive professionals that will truly deliver on our promise.
Unlike TrueCar, Cars.com, Autotrader, and others that will literally take anyone who pays, CarPro won’t certify someone until we have personally interviewed them, trained them in our process, and let them know that they are held accountable for delivering on the CarPro Promise to customers like you!
We have learned over the last 20 years that only the top 1% really have what it takes to be CarPro Certified. If you know of top automotive professionals in your area, we would love to hear from you.
Our goal is to match you with a true professional, someone who values transparency, honesty, and long-term relationships. The reality is, in the retail car business, those types of people are hard to find! -
There is much higher demand for both new and used vehicles than there is inventory in stock at dealerships.
While it seems like we are approaching the end of this under supply/over demand period in the retail car business, we’d recommend calling your CarPro as soon as you find the car you want and securing it with a deposit. -
Ultimately, a car dealership is a local business that does most of its selling within a certain area. Dealerships are required by their manufacturer under their franchise agreement to achieve a certain market penetration rate within their local market.
Local customers are more likely to return to the dealership for service and to refer their friends and family to the store. Think of a car dealership like a local restaurant who values the local neighborhood first. If a dealership has an over abundance of inventory, they will consider selling outside of their local market. -
Due to current inventory shortages, many dealers are charging over MSRP. This is due to the basic economic laws of supply and demand. When there is a limited supply, like we are currently experiencing in the retail car business, and a high demand for new cars, prices go up. The demand for pre-owned cars has also gone up, while the supply remains low, which has caused much higher prices paid for used cars. This supply shortage for both new and used cars will eventually come to an end.
Currently, (November 2022) we are seeing the first signs of discounting on new car inventory and the tipping point for prices paid for pre-owned cars. If you have to buy a car today, then yes, some dealers will still charge over MSRP. If you can wait a little bit longer, you will see the return of major discounting off MSRP to enable the manufacturers to gain market share.
