Our TakeOverall, the new sixth-generation Honda CR-V is an impressive redesign when it comes to design, interior upgrades, and terrific new driving dynamics. However, technology falls a bit short of the Venza, for example wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto and Blind Sport Information and Rear Cross Traffic are only featured on the Sport Touring AWD Hybrid (and not even available at all on the the LX).
The Rogue is consistently among the top best-selling and top-rated small SUVs in its segment. As such, you know it's a solid choice in terms of getting from point A to point B comfortably. Its fuel efficient VC Turbo engine is also a highlight. While all-wheel-drive is available, the Rogue is better suited for the pavement than off-road adventures. It's also probably not the SUV for you if you're looking for sporty driving dynamics.
The Rogue's technology features are a little disappointing. The multimedia touchscreen and the digital driver's display are small on all but the top trim level.
What's NewThe CR-V enters its 6th-generation with a new advanced hybrid powertrain, more capability and space. Honda says every 2023 CR-V benefits from extensive improvements to the body, chassis and powertrain, safety technology, and overall driving refinement.
CR-V Sport and Sport Touring feature a standard fourth-generation hybrid system. With 247 lb.-ft of torque they are the most powerful CR-Vs ever.
Updated available all-wheel drive is quieter and can now send up to 50% of engine torque to the rear wheels.
New Hill Descent Control system enhances off-road capability.
Sport and Sport Touring models also add a new Sport mode
New front Body Stabilizing Seats are designed to reduce fatigue over long drives.
Notable safety updates include new driver and passenger airbags first introduced on the new Civic. Rear Seatbelt Reminder and Rear Seat Reminder are also new standard additions to the CR-V.
CR-V also now features a Driver Attention Monitor.
For 2023 the Rogue lineup adds a new Midnight Edition package available on the Rogue SV.
The Rogue Platinum and SL Premium package add Amazon Alexa.
New for 2023, Rogue's engine has standard Idle Stop Start.
Nissan says a new generation Xtronic transmission delivers improved acceleration feel and reduced fuel consumption.
