We had a wonderful buying experience thanks to April Porter at Gillman Acura. The 2023 RDX is an awesome vehicle. April treated my wife and I like royalty and the entire buying experience was less than 2 hours which included test drive, make ready and financing. The facility was first class. All of April’s support staff were awesome as well.

Had a specific color, trim and interior needed for a new Acura MDX advance. Had tried numerous Acura dealers closer to my home with the usual bad car dealer service. Phone calls not returned, promises made and not kept, disinformation about inventory and incoming vehicles. One call to April and Ayman at Gillman and the car was located. They held it for 3 days since we are 2+hours away until we could make it to the dealership with a deposit. April completed all pricing, trade value and final numbers in 20 minutes and we were elated to have the car we have been searching for. April and the team at Gillman are exceptional and we are excited to start a long term relationship with April and the team. Thanks for the recommendation!

I drove from San Antonio to Houston to buy a Jetta TDI diesel. Everyone was friendly and professional! I arrived an hour before they closed and got me back on the road in less than an hour. Only thing that was a little surprising was the $995 fee added on used car purchase price.

April and Sahil were both great at getting the deal we wanted and few days after we started the lease the TLX had some issues with check engine and parking break system warnings. The dealership was able to reset the lights the first then, but then after about 24 hours it came back on again, the second time we visited the dealership, April offered to get us a new car to replace the problematic one. I felt that was above and beyond amazing customer service! Highly recommend both April and Sahil!

I was hooked up with April Porter on the car pro website. I found a used MDX and fell in love with it. April worked with me and her team to get the numbers where they needed to be for me to make the purchase. It was a very simple process and I was on my way in no time. They must be doing something right there since this was the third time they sold that 2016 MDX. It was originally purchased there and has been serviced there its whole life. I thought April was very kind, helpful and understanding. The problem was the car dealership did not have the vehicles they advertised in commission. The vehicles that were shown to me were over my price range. I understand that my situation makes things more difficult, but I do wish if the car was advertised it be in working order. I do not blame April for this she tried her best to accommodate me, though, $4,700 over my price range. I have $3,500 cash for a down payment. I have a 593 credit score with the only thing on it being a student loan debt. I am doing everything I can to get my life back in order after making some poor life choices. I am working full time, going to school full time and just filed for my LLC, forming my first business. I this business being pressure washing. I need an suv the I can put a pressure washer in back and pull a trailer and Spence this is my own company I need it to look decent. I’m afraid I’m this market I will not find a dependable vehicle under $10,000 that serves all my needs in this market. I am feeling a bit discouraged. Thank you for time and have a good day.

As soon as I arrived, April Porter came up to meet me. I was just in the market for a used SUV, under $20k and she treated me as if I were buying a new one. She showed me everything available and worked hard to make a deal. Was very pleasant when I just couldn't find what I was looking for. April Porter was not available so I worked with Aubry Hughes who was filling in for April. Aubry was great to work with and had the 2021 Acura RDX ready for me when I arrived. He was very familiar with the car and was willing to assist me any way he could. After driving the car I decided to purchase it. He asked if there was any way that he could make this transaction easier like driving the car to my home. I didn't trade my other car in so I said that would help a lot but I live 40 miles away. Aubry said no problem I will get an Uber back to the dealership. That was so nice of him especially since it was rush hour traffic in Houston. Gillman Acura was great and Aubry was a true gentleman. Sahil and April were fantastic. They did everything necessary to get us into our new Acura RDX at the right price. We had to use all the equity we had in our previous lease to get there (which was surprising substantial). But it worked out. The only issues we had were with the Finance person Ali who tried to sneak in a change to our deal (7500 miles per year instead of 10K miles per year) and we spent 5.5 hours at the store. I expected the process to be much faster. Granted that we did spend about 2 - 3 hours selecting the right car, but even that should have been a lot shorter. We spent a lot of time waiting throughout the process.

Sahil is so knowledgeable about every aspect of the cars I drove and the differences, as well having the ability to make it easy for someone who is not tech savvy to understand all the newest gadgets. April has the ability to sell without the pressure you so often feel at a car dealership. She understood my need to check out some other car options before making a commitment, When another dealer made me a better offer on the same car, she was back to me very quickly with an even better offer. I emailed the dealer and they responded, quickly, 10-15 minutes later. I made an appointment to test drive a new RDX a couple of days later. The sales team was excellent in all respects. They answered all my questions and explained all the financial numbers. I thought they offered a nice discount on the vehicle. The only reason I rated the dealer 4 stars instead of 5 stars, is that their vehicles had a number of dealer installed options I thought were useless. When making my buying decision, I decided to just net these against my discount and still felt it was a reasonable deal. Unfortunately, they increased their profitability, but put a damper on the customer experience.

Great sales team. They were able to help us into the car my wife wanted. I would have given 5 stars, but I left a 1st aid kit and air compressor in the cargo area of my trade, and was unable to reclaim my belongings. I contacted the dealership the following week after I got the new car. When I informed the salesman of what happened he said he would look for the items. A short time later he called me back and told me he could not find them, and that my belongings probably got thrown away. The 1st aid kit has sentimental value and can't be replaced. I don't believe my belongings were disposed of. With the concern of good ratings by this dealership there should be some concern in getting my things back to me.

Rick was very helpful. I didn't like the fact that he said he wasn't going to give me specific numbers if I wasn't planning on buying today. I know that was a sales tactic, but I didn't appreciate that. I should have walked out at that moment. I didn't because I like him over all and he was helpful. We got the payment close to where I wanted it, and I told him about the medical bankruptcy, but they would be able to get there anyway. After much discussion with the finance guy it changed by over $200. They finally got the price down but not where we had originally talked about. I did buy the protection package, GAP insurance and the extra warranty. They originally wanted me to pay #3900 for the warranty but got it down to $1680. I don't like all that BS! Over all they were nice and helpful. I would go back but I would handle my end somewhat differently. I didn't really feel that I got any special deal as a VIP.

In filling out your application I mentioned some things about which I wanted advice from the dealership, given the present market, and noted that e-mail was my preferred means of contact. The same day, Feb. 24, I got a telephone message, a text, and then an e-mail asking how I wanted to be contacted. I replied to the e-mail to reaffirm. No response; on Feb. 26 I called the person who'd left the voicemail who, rather than answering any of the questions I'd posed even after I'd told her why I'd asked (I'd received discouraging advice from my contact at the Beaumont dealership), asked me for my VIN and color preference, which I promptly sent her. On the 27th the person who'd sent the e-mail sent another one asking if I had everything I needed; I said I'd spoken with the other person but had not received anything yet, to which she said she'd forward that info to her manager. That was the last I've heard, even though on the 4th I sent a somewhat sarcastic reminder that I'd still not heard from them. I suppose that had I just showed up at the dealership with your letter I may have gotten treated differently, but the reason for my questions was that I did not want to drive 2 1/2 - 3 hours to Houston unless there was some reasonable expectation that the trip would not turn out to be pointless, given the virtual dearth of present inventory. This is the fourth time I've used your service, so I've become somewhat spoiled, I suppose. In fairness to April, all my contact has been with "members of her team".

April is a great ambassador for Gillman Acura. Her breadth and depth of knowledge of not only Acura's products, but the processes in securing a new vehicle. It is clearly the result of deep experience in her job. April and Sahil were excellent. They went above and beyond to meet our needs. But the finance guy, Ali, tried to change the mileage allowance on the lease from 10000 per year to 7500 per year. Also, our new RDX was run through the automatic car wash for delivery but was still wet and not cleaned up properly for a new car delivery.

This was by far the best car-buying experience I have ever had! April was extremely helpful, professional, accommodating and fair. She went above and beyond to find us what we needed in a pre-owned vehicle and was very accommodating. They also followed up with us and made sure everything was working well. Very hassle-free experience. Let me test drive three RDX models. Handled Acura financing at the dealership. Feel like I got a decent deal. About three hours (including test drives) from walk-in to all paperwork finalized.
