The sales Rep, Ivan, as well as the finance rep, ZK, were very friendly, knowledgeable and listened to my thoughts and concerns. The process took a bit of work, and yet, the transparency & follow up were unmatched. Ivan took as much time as I needed to explain the tech of the car use before I drove away. I highly recommend this dealer. As an extra, The owner of the dealership gives 6 O&F changes rather than 4, over the course of the 3y 36 months. I have been listening to your show the last month and heard Jerry read a good review of Rick Majors from Tustin Hyundai. I wrote his name down and 2 weeks later, made contact with Rick and he immediately replied. My husband and I met with Rick the Saturday before Christmas and shortly before they were closing. We were truly impressed with Rick and the customer service from everyone at the dealership. So much, we decided to end our search and made the decision to proceed with leasing a vehicle at Tustin Hyundai. Rick Majors is a great salesperson. Rick Majors was fantastic. I called after getting my Car Pro certificate and asked about a Palisade. Rick thought he had one that I wanted on the lot because it was in his computer, but he double checked. Turns out, it was sold that morning. We discussed what I was looking for and he said he would call me when he was able to track one down. A few days later, he called to tell me about a Rainforest AWD model that was due in about 3 weeks. He said normally the dealer makes all of these "Blackout Editions", which adds $8,000 to the price. He knew I didn't want that, so he talked to his sales manager about not doing it to this vehicle, and selling it at MSRP without the blackout package. He got the exception approved and let me know. I ran the numbers with my wife, and we decided to postpone our purchase at this time. Rick thanked me and I thanked him for all of his efforts. He is first class. I purchased a CX-9 through another Jim Patterson dealer up the street in February 2021 and had a similar experience there. I really love it when a dealer follows the program.

It was interesting doing a vehicle deal during the Covid-19 pandemic. That said, I'm not sure that we received a 5-Star VIP experience. It was over an hour drive to the dealership, and we made arrangements to meet with Rick on a Sunday when the dealership was closed, as Rick said that he had access, except to do paperwork. He did have a keys to several potential cars, but not to the showroom, so no access to a bathroom or water. We did decide which model we wanted, and the color that we wanted, but it was not on their lot, so Rick said he would try to find one for us. It took a couple days to get it transported in to the dealership, and it took several requests to get the pricing on the new vehicle so that we could see the difference in added options. When we thought everything was finalized, we made an appointment to go back up to the dealership to complete the transaction. I had asked about the radio advertising that stated cars could be delivered and paperwork completed on delivery at our home, but was told that due to the reduced staff, that option was not available. So we took a train from our hometown to near the dealer so we wouldn't have to drive two vehicles home, and Rick picked us up at the train station. That went fairly well, except when we got into the finance office, the first contract printed did not have the VIP discount price, and then there was a fair amount of pressure to buy the fabric and paint protection package, and the extended Platinum warranty. We had asked to have a total amount (car, tax, fees, etc) before our purchase so that we knew our total investment would be and what fit into our budget. Lastly, because of the Covid-19 distancing, and Rick had other sales lined up (it was the last day of the month) we don't feel that we got a through, VIP experience explaining all the car features and controls. He did a few basics, and said that if we had questions, to contact him and he would talk us through them. We like the car, and can't wait to figure everything out.

After meeting the sales guy and looking at vehicles, we chose one. After discussing the fact that i needed to wait for my funds to come in I tried putting a down payment with a check, or using a credit card for my entire 15k down, they said they no they would wait. This was a Sunday. My funds came in from my retirement account Tuesday morning. The same day they sold the car. I guess I get it but that still sucks as i was totally upfront. On Wednesday, I went and bought the same trim car from Norm Reeves Hyundai, no problems. So much for an easy sale from a “CarPro”.

Despite my very best efforts of informing Henry on Sunday that we had only one of these cars (in their color preference) in stock and offered a solution to move forward with the purchase however they chose to hold off until the funds transferred which I totally understand and respected their decision. At the time I was also 100% transparent and informed them that the vehicle may be sold in the meantime and that as a matter of store policy we can't hold a car with a deposit. I further explained that if the car did sell in the next day or two that we could either look at a different color option or perhaps if another dealer was willing to do a dealer trade we could try that. Henry seemed very understanding of all of this and I offered again to go ahead and move forward with the purchase to avoid any of these potential pitfalls. He obviously declined and opted not to do that. As a courtesy I reached out to him yesterday prior to his scheduled appointment time and as soon as I found out that the car had sold and that we would have to proceed with the afore mentioned plan B options and he was understandably less than pleased. I apologized and reminded him that this was a potential outcome but that I would work diligently to facilitate a dealer trade. Unfortunately, the other dealers all said that they had customers interested in their cars and were not willing to give them up. In conclusion it was an all around unfortunate circumstance and I apologize for any frustration to all involved.

Aloha Jerry Your another hero without a cape Here’s my tale of success - and all because of Rick, Carlos, and ZK at tustin Hyundai!! No ‘23 palisades calligraphys and no new palisades until august soonest. No cars in the showroom - crazy Any advertised calligraphy was already gone, a few places calling back to say they actually had one. Not so! I looked and called all over 5 western states. Tustin actually had one, a ‘21 with 49k miles for $39. What a nice car, Hyundai did a great job - I bought it ZK in finance brought me 3 finance options - all higher than the 6.65 chase was offering me. He actually kept calling banks and Hyundai finance. HF finally came back with 6.09% and he reduced the extended warranty - good for all the electronics. And some engines will get oil into the cooling system - just happens. I also bought the exterior sealant (black car) and interior seat coverage (light beige) also significantly reduced. I’ve had it a week and really like it. Drives great in both traffic and open hi-way. Some very thoughtful features and so many features. Infotainment center - oh boy! I live in a market (San Diego) that has no carpro dealers. The nearest ones are in Orange county. Orange county over a hours drive, so I wasn't going to drive up there unless I had the information I wanted. I’m not sure how our first meet up and test drive could have gone any better. Rick answered all of our questions and made it clear there would not be any pressure for add ons and that the price would be MSRP plus shipping. He then handed us the key for a test drive and said he’ll look forward to our feedback when we get back. Since they didn’t have exactly what we wanted in stock, he put our name on the perfect car scheduled to arrive in about 4 weeks. Using my CarPro pass I contacted Rick, and his partner Rooben Khacaatoorian at Tustin Hyundai. I can only say that when I went to the dealership I was treated as a VIP. I was already familiar with the dealership, but my treatment was above and beyond. I ended up purchasing a 2021 Certified Hyundai Santa Fe Limited that was a factory exec car with 14,000 miles. It was loaded with all the goodies. The whole process could not have gone more smooth. Also they took my 2007, Santa Fe in trade. All of the pricing seemed very fair, and I felt I could trust all of the people in that dealership. Can't say any more it was a good car buying experience, and I got exactly what I wanted. I told him I was interested in an ionic 5SEL in blue with a gray interior. He quickly looked at his list of incoming vehicles and luckily he had one coming in on 23 June! He informed me that he would sell it to me for dealer cost with no mark ups, and he didn’t even want any money to hold it for me… Incredible! Best car buying/leasing experience ever. Shawn was very pleasant, efficient, knowledgeable, and had all the pre arranged online forms up to date when I showed up. When I asked about more information on smart cruise and lane following, he offered to take me on a ride right away to demonstrate. This was a great informative ride, and then felt very comfortable in driving back through LA traffic back to home. Went to Tustin Hyundai not expecting to lease a car. Staff was very friendly, even provided lunch. Shawn was extremely informative, helpful but never pushy. He went the extra mile, literally, to get me 3 different cars because I wasn't sure which color I wanted. Shawn Brown was great, honest, and candid. He was very knowledgeable about cars, contracts, and all things cars. He seems to have been undermined by the next up management, and almost lost the sale when they tried to pull "a fast one" on me. I did not bite, but walked out. Shawn was sent to the parking lot to get me and they agreed to complete the deal at MY terms, which were very reasonable and previously agreed to during negotiations.

I started looking for a Hyundai Kona at the last dealership I had purchased at. They were pleasant, but I just wasn't getting the deal I wanted. I tried a second dealer, but was lied to about what I was going to get. As a last resort, I went to the Car Pros website and was put in touch with Tustin Hyundai. I detailed what I was looking for and asked if they could help me. Frank Joubran answered my email and asked if I was leasing or buying? I stated that I wanted to buy, and stated what one of the previous dealers said they would do for my trade-in. Frank emailed me back saying he had the car I wanted, he would match the trade-in value, and would beat the price I had previously been quoted. I went the next day to the dealership. The car was ready, the price was great, and Frank treated my wife and I like we were long-time valued customers. An hour later, I was driving my new car home. There was no hassle, no lying, and just great customer service. As we were leaving, the president of the dealership, John Patterson, stopped by and introduced himself. I told him how happy we were with the deal and with the way Frank treated us. He gave me his card and said to contact him if we ever had a problem. I am a satisfied customer! I listen to the Car Pros show on KNX radio in Los Angeles. I can't listen to the whole show, but I really enjoy what I do catch. Car Pros is the only way to buy a car!

My wife and I have purchased or leased 4 vehicles through the CarPro process since 2010. I was looking for a 2025 Kona Limited but switched it up to a Tucson Hybrid Limited after visiting the L.A. Auto Show. Ivan Ventura worked with us on pricing and securing the desired exterior / interior color combination we wanted. We fell in love with Cashmere Bronze (2025 new color) after seeing it at the show and Ivan and Rooben were able to get it for us. No mark-ups or add-ons and a reasonable price discount. Very smooth experience at Tustin Hyundai, TJ was extremely friendly, open and honest. Zero pressure, he took me out for test drives in 2 different models. Alas, I did not like the Hyundais I drove and told him I was also interested in a Mazda 6. He set me up with Larry at Tustin Mazda (another CarProUSA dealership) who was also fantastic and provided a smooth, pleasant car-buying experience. I didn't end up buying a car from either dealer only because it was getting late and I didn't want to rush such a major financial decision and had a 2 hour + drive home. I ended up finding a local dealership that price matched the CarProUSA offer and purchased there, but I wholeheartedly recommend either Tustin Mazda or Tustin Hyundai for any potential car shoppers. They are class acts all the way.
