Can't decide on whether to buy a new car or new boat? Well, the 2023 Houston AutoBoative show just might help you decide to do both. We're talking about the Houston Auto Show combined with the Houston Boat Show. The two shows combined last year and the event is now dubbed the Houston AutoBoative Show.
The 5-day event kicks off at Houston's NRG Center January 25 and runs through the 29th. As far as milestones go, this year marks the 67th Houston Boat Show and the 40th year of the Houston Auto Show, presented by Evolve Houston.
The show features the latest vehicles, boats and outdoor activities in the largest show of its kind in the U.S.
On the vehicle side, the show will feature nearly 500 vehicles from more than thirty brands. Test drives will also be from Ford, Subaru, Toyota, VW, Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge and Ram. Camp Jeep will be there too with its off-road experience, as will Ram Trucks, both with professional drivers.
As you might imagine, electric vehicles will be in the spotlight. Evolve Houston will host an EV showroom featuring various EVs and content from their partners. All-electric ride-and-drive experiences also put you in the driver's seat of the Ford Lightning, VW ID.4 and various other models.
On the marine side, an electric boat is sure to make a splash. Swedish technology company X Shore, the world's leading supplier of electric boats, will unveil its latest award-winning model. The X Shore 1 received the Gold prize at the 2023 German Design Awards. X Shore’s award-winning flagship model, the Eelex 8000, will also be showcased at the show.
In all there will be 200 boats on display from 30 Houston area dealerships so you can check out the latest models, technology and industry trends. Pontoons, bay boats, wake boats, bass boats, sport fishers, RVs and more will be on display. Plus, all boats and RVs at the show will be for sale.
Representatives from the Texas Parks & Wildlife and the United States Coast Guard will also be on hand to talk about boating safety. Bringing the kids? They can fish for rainbow trout at the Fish-O-Rama. Expert angler Chuck Devereaux will also share some casting techniques during live fishing demonstrations at an 5,000-gallon, 40-feet-long Bass Tub.
Discounted $15 pre-sale tickets are available if you purchase before January 24th at www.AutoboativeShow.com (+ service fees). After the 24th, admission goes up to $20.
