Tragedy struck our Car Pro Family with the recent accidental death of Garner Durant, who was the middle son of Tom and Susan Durant, the owners of the Classic Family of Dealerships. Classic Chevrolet in Grapevine, TX is the #1 Chevrolet dealership in Texas. We have several other of the 18 dealerships that Tom & Susan own.
I don’t think I ever had the pleasure of meeting Garner, but people who knew him well had nothing but wonderful things to say. His sister Stormy said: he had a heart and imagination far too big for real life, and this world will never be the same without him. His brother Hagen said: he had such a kindhearted disposition and energy that you radiated to everyone around you.
Kind, funny, caring, smart, and loving are words that people use to describe Garner Durant.
As many of you know, I lost my only child, a Son over eight years ago. Five years ago, another of our Dealers, Dane Minor lost his son, Jake at the age of 19. Dane is the Managing Partner and General Manager of Freeman Toyota, the only Toyota dealer in DFW we’ve had in 20 years on the air.
