November 1, 2024
Dear Car Pro Family,
Today, we welcome in November. Tomorrow night before you go to bed, turn that clock back so you get that wonderful extra hour of sleep! We have some fun facts about Daylight Saving Time below, and some reminders of other things you should do as well. Congratulations to the Los Angeles Dodgers and all our friends and listeners there for winning the 2024 World Series!
The HUGE news in the auto industry since last week is the introduction of the new Scout brand. Initially there will be a truck and an SUV, paying tribute to the old International Scout models from long ago. They will come all-electric or as a plug-in hybrid. I have all the details below with pictures, I explain why lawsuits will be abundant, and I have commentary about the plans for this vehicle.
Also, we have the most-loved cars in America list, I tell you which 37 vehicles NHTSA will total out while doing crash tests for 2025, and the best cars for teenage drivers according to Kelley Blue Book. From the good news department: automatic emergency braking systems are working much better these days and the 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee was re-priced and became cheaper. People still remain skeptical about self-driving car systems, and who can blame them? Full story below.
Be sure to check out our all new Car Pro Merchandise and don’t miss Kim Komando’s Special Report on Artificial Intelligence and your car, it’s very insightful.
In advice today, we discuss window stickers on new cars and why they are important, plus how to get one on a pre-owned vehicle. Self-employed and business owners, our annual guide to Tax Code 179 is below and it’s time to do something, it could save you tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of dollars.
In reviews, I have the 2024 Kia Sorento that is refreshed for this year in the X-Pro SX-Prestige trim. Our Amy Plemons made me jealous getting to spend a week in the drop-dead-gorgeous 2025 Audi Q7 Prestige SUV. She also takes us off-roading in the 2024 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 Final Edition.
You’ll find the following stories and more info as you scroll down the newsletter:
