Autotrader is naming its Best New Cars of 2025. Ten new models make the cut out of 300 vehicles evaluated by Autotrader editors. Vehicles could be either 2025 or early-release 2026 model year, and had to be new or redesigned. To qualify, the base model of a vehicle lineup must start below $110,000.
"The team scrutinized all new cars available for sale as 2025 and early release 2026 models to name the 10 best for your consideration," said Jason Fogelson, managing editor for Autotrader. "This year's list includes four electric vehicles, two hybrid gasoline-electric vehicles, and four gas-powered models, including SUVs, sedans and one minivan that exceeded our expectations in factors like interior comfort, build quality, technology, driving experience and more."

Autotrader editors focused on cars that are groundbreaking or offer significant value. Because many vehicles are new or redesigned for 2025, editors say the team only considered models available for purchase this year - meaning within the next nine months.
